Ingredients
- 2 water glasses of dried split fava beans (kuru iç bakla
- 1 large onion cut into wedges
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 coffee cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 water glasses of water (600ml)
- 1/2 bunch of dill (optional)
Method
Wash the beans well and cover in water and leave to soak overnight.
The following day, rinse and place in a saucepan with the onion wedges, sugar and salt and the 2 cups of water.
Cook on low for 20-25 minutes
Remove from the heat and place in a blender with the olive and blend until smooth.
Mix in the chopped dill if using and place into a serving bowl.
Chill for a minimum of 4-5 hours to set but ideally overnight.
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and if you wish sliced onion.
